Catherine Bell, an athletic and tall actress was born in London. When she was young, her mother moved the family members to Los Angeles. She dropped out of college to pursue a modeling career in Japan despite her intention to major in premed at school. After returning to L.A. after doing a few commercials to make appearances as a guest on TV shows and minor film work. Isabella Rosellini was her naked body-double in the film the film Death Becomes Her in 1992. This led her to meet her future spouse (Adam Deason) at the set of the film. After an appearance on NBC's JAG she wrote to the producers of JAG expressing her the desire to be a part of. JAG changed to CBS in 1996 and she was promoted to major Sarah "Mac" and was the sidekick of Lt. commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb (David James Elliott). She's a skier as well as a kickboxer.
