Hayley orrantia was born and raised in the United States. Her main focus is actress, but also an acrobat and songwriter. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". However, she's primarily a music lover. Music is her first love, she maintains; it is something she's dabbled into when she was just nine years old. When she was 12 the world of music had become significant enough that she was able to begin professional training. When she was 13 when she began writing her own music. The album that she first released didn't come out until 14 years later. Since then there has been nothing but positive. Orrantia was raised in the USA, yet is of Hispanic origins. She is proud of the reality that she is a native of Hispanic roots, even though she was raised speaking English only, and did not live in Mexico. Her goal is to preserve it by creating Spanish songs, and also learning the Spanish language. "Hasta Verte," which that she wrote in Spanish is a good example. Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she received four "yeses" (or votes), from the judges at the Seattle audition. While she auditioned initially in a single performance at "Hollywood Week", she and three other female vocalists were put into a group for the rest in the selection process. Live shows were staged in the fifth week.
