Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist insults, she was being made to feel unwelcome. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. When she was 22, she graduated at the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big breaks. The role of The lad from The Lake was her most memorable breakthrough, bringing her an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. She gained more recognition by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended show. She's also an activist who is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
